4. How do I view the files in a different viewer?
|
^ Top
|
|
To view files in a different viewer really depends on how you have your
browser configured. The sure way to play them in the player of your
choice is to follow Question 3 and save the video to your
hard drive. Once saved, launch your video player and open the file
that was saved to your hard drive.
If you have setup your browser to play movie files (specifically .MPG) in
a particular player, simply clicking on the Direct Link under the
video's thumbnail will launch the video.
If you are using Internet Explorer, clicking on this link may load the video
in a small frame to the right, making it difficult to view. You should
save the video to your hard drive and view from there.

5. Clicking on the thumbnail or HCEI Player
doesn't do anything. What is wrong?

First verify your JavaScript is enabled. A quick way to do this is
by scrolling to the top of this page and observing the status of Java
Script in your browser. A green 'Enabled' message will appear if
JavaScript is functioning. A red 'Disabled' message will appear
if JavaScript is not turned on.
If the message indicates JavaScript
is disabled, follow the steps outlined in Question 2.
If JavaScript is enabled, please check to ensure that any pop-up software
is either turned off temporarily, or the site www.hcei.ca is added to its
allowed sites for pop-ups. Additionally, most third-party pop-up blockers
allow you to hold down the CTRL key while clicking on a link to
allow pop-ups for that click of the mouse.
